Marking signs
Engraved marking signs are one of the most common forms of permanent identification in industry, electrical work, automation, installation and machine building. They are used to clearly identify components, machines, apparatus, electrical cabinets, functions and other parts of a technical installation.
The signs are made from two-layer engraving plastic. Engraving removes the top colour layer so the contrasting colour beneath becomes visible. Text, symbols and graphics therefore become part of the material instead of a print on the surface. That gives a clear, durable marking well suited to industrial environments.
Size, colour, text, symbols, hole pattern and mounting can be adapted. Typical uses include apparatus signs, component marking, function signs, information signs and marking on and inside cabinets.
Engraved plastic is a good choice when you want professional marking with high readability and a consistent look, while still being able to make both single signs and larger series with individual text or numbering.
What a marking sign is
A marking sign is an engraved plastic sign. The laser removes the top colour layer so the contrasting colour underneath becomes the text. The marking sits in the material, not as ink on top.
Where it is used
It goes on electrical cabinets, machines and apparatus, as an apparatus sign, component mark or function sign. A name plate, machine plate or panel plate is the same sign with different text.
How to order
Open the sign editor and add text, a symbol and holes, or import an Excel list when many signs each need their own text.

Questions
What material is a marking sign made of?
Two-layer engraving plastic. Engraving removes the surface layer so the contrasting colour underneath becomes the text.
Can I order marking signs with my own text?
Yes. Type the text in the sign editor, or import a list when each sign should say something of its own.
Can I send an Excel list?
Yes. The list becomes one sign per row, with its own text and a QR code when you need one.
Can I order a single sign and a series?
Yes. The same sign can be made as one piece or as a number series.
